Biography

Raphael Brown (Beverly Holladay Brown) was born in New York and spent most of his career as a reference librarian with the Library of Congress, retiring in 1967. He was a member of a secular order of Franciscans and wrote and translated over a dozen books on Catholic topics (Source: The San Diego North County Times - online edition, Archives, Obituaries for June 21, 2000).
