Biography
Humorist, editor and publisher, Bennett Cerf was Chairman of the Board and founder of Random House publishing house in New York. Prior to founding Random House, he had co-purchased the Modern Library series. He was a fellow graduate and editor of Jester at Columbia University, but many years prior to Merton's arrival.
