| Quotation | Meanwhile I have been getting on with other Anglican reading. Thornton on English Spirituality was of course attractive for its thesis that emphasized Benedictine, Cistercian and Victorine bases for Anglican spirituality. I did not agree with some of his rather oversimplified judgments but liked the book as a whole. I am reading Stranks on Anglican Devotion, which is informative. Also McAdoo on the Moral Theologians. |
