Quotation | I sent Naomi a couple more poems, in fact three of four more. Where did I leave off with the stuff you have? Do you have the "Landscape" and the "Spring Storm?" And after that "Birdcage Walk" and "A Letter to Graham Greene" (about The Quiet American, which I surprisingly got to read. I was impressed with the central moral point, somewhat unconvinced by the ending. All the business about the little Annamese lady is perhaps not strictly monastic reading, but I guess I am now beyond all norms). |
