Quotation | Thanks very much for the new complete Eliot. It is very valuable to me. I don't know when I shall ever get around to reading the longer plays, but I have been going over Four Quartets and Choruses from the Rock. Last December, I gave the scholastics a talk on Murder in the Cathedral and read them the Christmas sermon. It is very fine for us. Few things could be deeper or more appropriate than his understanding that martyrs - and for the matter contemplatives - are not made by man's own choice. |
