Quotation | Very satisfied with Karl Adam's Scotist solution of the problem raised by Christ's statement that not even the Son knows the hour of the last judgment. Distinction between natural and habitual possession of scientia visionis [the knowledge of the (beatific) vision]. Christ would know all Truth necessarily and as He applied his mind to it, according to the will of the Father, and He had not yet looked to see this one thing which the Father had not yet willed Him to know and reveal. This really fits the text and spirit of the gospels. |
