Quotation | Jacques Maritain sent Raissa's Journal, a most remarkable book full of clarity and simplicity. She had an unusual life of prayer, a very intelligent life of contemplation, very pure, great virginity of spirit and of intelligence. Surely she was a saint and I am most happy for this privileged look into material which may never be given to the general public (and I have urged Jacques not to publish it). I am sure this book has come to me providentially. It helps set so many thingsin order. |
