David Semon writes in praise of many of Merton's writings, but is concerned over his support of Philip Berrigan and the pouring of blood on draft records. Merton and Semon had different opinions on the Vietnam War and the role of the peace movement.
David R. Semon was a 27-year-old college sophomore at Borromeo Seminary in Wickliffe, Ohio.
