Richard Walsh asks Merton if they can use his play, "Tower of Babel", for a television production to be aired on NBC. Merton agrees and the show runs on January 27, 1957. Walsh also discussed with Merton the possibility of airing his "Freedom Songs" with the possibility of involving Coretta Scott King, the Ebenezer Baptist Choir, the Peloquin Chorale, and Harry Belafonte. Merton suggests involving the tenor Robert Williams and would contact Alexander Peloquin, the composer of the music.
Richard J. Walsh was Director of Television for the National Council of Catholic Men in New York.
